Quill Creek Ranch is owned and operated by Doug and Anna Griller along with Blair and Jodi Griller.
The Griller family has been in the livestock business since Doug's grandfather immigrated to Canada in the early 1900's.
In 1996 the Grillers diversified into Bison. They currently have five different locations. The Quill Creek herd, Ponas Lake herd, Sage Hill herd, a Manitoba partner and a registered wood herd out of Alberta.
In 2017, they decided to further diversify into Free Range Berkshire Hogs. At the same time moving forward with plans to build their own abattoir. They now sell both wholesale and retail grass raised Bison and free range Berkshire Hogs.
All animals are bred, raised and processed using low stress animal handling techniques. Their grass raised bison and free range hogs are raised without hormones or antibiotics.
They are firm believers of pasture management leading to healthy ecosystems and Environmental Stewardship, and have geared up all facilities, staff, and equipment to maintain and exceed the goals to meet those standards.
They not only breed them and raise them, but they also process them at their on farm abbatoir and market them through their store in Watson, SK called Quill Creek Farms. Almost all the animal is utilized and nothing is wasted. The Grillers continually strive to improve their operation, their practices and their products.
Quill Creek are big supporters of local business and producers as they believe these are the life blood of our communities and food system.
