Paperback Beverage Company is made up of Judd Stachoski, a bar owner and experienced bartender, and Ryan Nagel, who has a background in beverage sales and beer brewing.

Combining the knowledge of their former industries, the two founders saw a place for craft soda and locally produced sauces and syrups in the Saskatchewan market.

Starting out with a vegan-friendly, gluten-free Worcester Sauce and Caesar mix, Paperback began adding zero-calorie sodas to their product list. Now with 4 flavours, CYBRPUNK, the brand name of the sodas, includes pop sweetened with cane sugar.

Paperback also has a line of sauces under the brand, Judd’s: a BBQ Sauce made with the cooked-off ingredients of the company’s worcester sauce, Hot Sauce with a citrus zest flavour to it, as well as a vegan mayo and caesar salt rimmer.

Being a business in Southey, SK has been an important factor for Paperback Bev CO. The sense of community and support of the town has helped Paperback establish itself as a local producer of craft grocery products that are now available in Regina and Saskatoon, as well as smaller communities like Moose Jaw, Melville, Yorkton, Esterhazy, Fort Qu’Appelle, and North Battleford.
