Coteau Hills Creamery
Meet your Saskatchewan Cheesemakers!
"Coteau Hills Creamery has a simple philosophy when it comes to making cheese. Create beautiful flavours from the best milk provided by our Caroncrest Farms Dairy. Fresh is best.
Leading the Coteau Hills Creamery team, Kirby Froese has an over 20 year career in food production that began with wine. After getting his feet wet in wine production in Australia, he followed with consecutive harvests interning as winemaker in British Columbia, California, and Chile. Kirby settled in British Columbia in 1998 and spent time making wine with four well recognized wineries before partnering in Dunham & Froese Estate Winery. While with Dunham & Froese, Kirby's efforts were well recognized with numerous industry awards, gold medals including 2008 British Columbia New Winery of the Year Award and Tony Aspler, author of Wineries of Canada, 2008 ranking as the "number two up and coming winery to watch in Canada".
Now back to his roots in his hometown of Moose Jaw, Kirby is thrilled to see the local response to Coteau Hills Creamery cheese and excited about the growing “made locally” food scene."
With their Balkan Style Feta, Sage Farm, and Great Plains Blue Cheese, the possibilities at meal time are endless!
Not to mention that their milk is sourced from right down Highway 1 at Caronport. You can't get much more local than that.
