Living Sky Farms
Sarah and Erin are North Saskatchewan dreamers (and farmers) who first connected over excitement and dreams of raising all the animals and growing all the foods they could get their hands on.
Having grown up on a grain farm, Sarah recently moved back home to join in the operation. Sarah's grandmother had gifted her an old grain mill and over the last two years Sarah has really enjoyed learning and experimenting with fresh grains in the kitchen and coincidentally, Erin had also been experimenting with making sourdough bread. As this connection was made, the girls quickly started sharing notes and making messes in each other's kitchens. Both recognizing the taste difference and learning the nutritional value that comes with fresh, whole grains made it the perfect place to start.
It's no secret that most of what you see on the shelves is very different than what you get direct from the farm. We believe that whole foods sourced closer to home can positively impact the health of our community and soils in ways that are both nutritious, and economical.
